Your data is never sold or monetised.

belOS does not sell, rent, or monetise client data, and does not share it for advertising by third parties.Hair by Christiana uses your information only to provide your services. Where a feature needs a partner — for example WhatsApp confirmations, card payments, courier delivery, or the salon's own social marketing — your data is shared with that service provider solely to perform that function, as listed in "Sharing of your information" below.

This Privacy Policy explains how Hair by Christiana ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use the Hair by Christiana app (the "App", powered by the belOS platform).

1. Information we collect

  • Personal info — name, email address, phone number, delivery / postal address, user & account IDs, and date of birth (for bookings, accounts, delivery and records).
  • Location — approximate region inferred from your IP address, and precise GPS used for supplier-rep visit check-ins and delivery address lookup.
  • Financial info — card-on-file token, card brand & last 4 digits, payment amounts, purchase history, and supplier account credit limits & balances. Card numbers are never stored.
  • Messages — WhatsApp conversations with clients and the internal staff team-chat (content is processed to send and receive messages).
  • Photos and videos — hair / transformation / visit images and promotional videos uploaded by staff or clients.
  • Audio files — short voice recordings captured during supplier-rep visits and transcribed to text.
  • Files and docs — supplier invoices, bank statements, price lists and catalogues uploaded as PDFs or images.
  • Calendar — appointment events and availability blocks synced with a connected Google Calendar.
  • Hair & treatment history — consultation notes, conditions, colour formulas, and visual timeline photos.
  • App activity — analytics events, notes, comments, feedback, and pipeline / status action logs.
  • App info & performance — crash logs and diagnostics collected by the platform / device.
  • Device or other IDs — a push-notification token, only if push notifications are enabled.

2. How we use your information

  • Booking and confirming appointments.
  • Processing retail orders and deliveries (including courier handover via Bob Go).
  • Recording consultations and colour history for continuity of service.
  • Sending appointment, birthday, and payment messages via WhatsApp.
  • Operating the loyalty programme (points earned and redeemed at checkout).
  • Personalising promotions and marketing shared from the salon's social channels.

3. Sharing of your information

Your information is shared only with: (a) the salon itself as the data controller; (b) service providers we use to operate the App (WhatsApp Business Cloud API, Yoco, Paystack, Bob Go couriers, Google Calendar sync, Facebook and Instagram for marketing posts, and the belOS hosting platform); and (c) where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data security & retention

All data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and stored on the belOS hosted database, which is regularly backed up. We retain your information for as long as your client record is active and for the legal periods required for financial record-keeping.

5. Your rights & account deletion

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. Logged-in users can delete their own account from Settings → Delete account; the app permanently removes your user record and you are signed out. You can also contact us (below) to request removal of your full client record, including consultation history and photos.

6. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version takes effect when published in the App.

A plain-language breakdown of exactly what data we collect, who we share it with, and how we protect it is available on our Data Safety page, kept consistent with the Google Play Data safety declaration.
